Works with
  • A 3.7 V LiPo cell with a PH2.0 connector that fits (the author used a 503048)
  • Kapton tape
Good to know
  • Setup: You have to get the PCB made and assemble the battery stack yourself.
  • Heads up: The author notes the official OP-Z replacement battery is no longer available.

About

Design files for a frame and a small PCB that let you plug any 3.7 V LiPo cell with a PH2.0 connector into the OP-Z in place of its battery. The largest cell the author found that fits is a 503048, which turned out to be 800 mAh against the original's 740 mAh. To assemble it, you glue the PCB into the frame, insert the battery and wrap the stack in Kapton tape.
